As promised I posted a new video on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vJvCKKNWno

This one was very emotional for me. You might want to have some tissues nearby.

Special thanks to FairyMagic for letting me use a track from the Dragonheart score and to Franky for letting me use some of his photo scans.

Enjoy!

Franky - great video! I've never seen most of those photos. I love the tight rolled stonewashed jeans haha!

Fanboy - you did a fantastic job on both videos! I would never have known they were the first two you ever made...great job!!

Thanks both of you for posting them.

Thanks Fairymagic. That means a lot. I'm glad you liked the b&w. I told myself "might as well put the clips in black and white, the photos are all black and white". Plus it had to the emotion don't you think...

Youtube just blocked my first video worldwide on the basis of copyright violation. I fear my 2nd one will not be far behind.

They have every right of course but it still feels like they took something away from me.

It kinda feels like they reopened a wound that was healing.

I was rather feeling good this past month. I was always smiling when I thought about Jon but today it hurts.

Youtube hurt me and I feel I want to shed some tears...

I loved that video and I was proud of myself for doing it and they took it away. It echoed Jon for me. It stings like the pain of losing Jon stung so many months ago. I was only trying to be creative. What's the point in creating something if someone else destroys it?

Sometimes I find the copyright law is a bit too harsh.

WMG is all over Youtube to take down stuff for "copyright violation". I find it hilarious/insulting that they can have fan-made videos removed for this, but people can post full movies or TV shows and have yet to have anything taken down.

Even so, it is hard not to take it personally when they do remove something you worked so hard for. :(

Post them here on the site. The old JB.Org had many fan-made memorial videos.
Yes, the audience is a lot smaller here after YouTube, but it's appreciative.
Having suffered the same fate (repeatedly), I just have to satisfy myself that some people saw them while they were around.
Hopefully the single 'right one' got to see the fruits of my efforts from whatever perch he currently occupies (or, as the case may be, 'steps into'.) ;)

Relevant is right. Having the right people see your work trumps having millions of people see it.
