Yeah, you read that right. Kempton Brandis, of the Petaluma Little League team, hit a two-run homer today. It was interesting to hear the sports announcers yelling, "BRANDIS WITH A HOME RUN!" Jon would appreciate the humor.

I had a conversation with a fan who was disappointed that I didn't know about Jonathan's paternal great grandfather (who was a newspaperman?) I know only a very few scattered factoids about his family (and not a lot more about my own...and those because one of my extended family relations is a historian) so...?

There is a Brandis family in Petaluma. Are they related? Beats me.
