A. Write the whole thing, B. read it once over, and C. put it away for a while.(Actually Horace, Roman writer, said to put it away for SEVEN YEARS - but that may be a bit much...)
Then go back and attack it like you've never seen it before.
Repeat steps A, B, and C.
Don't give up.

You're doing well, hun. Just remember not to leave anything out, no matter how unpleasant, or hard to believe. It's the only way this book will be helpful, if you're completely honest. I'm sure it's going to be a wonderful book. Your Turtle says so. =)

My literature teachers used to say "reality exceeds the fiction". I find this is good for everything, all the time. I'm sure your message will make a difference for many people (and for us) Jon.

Another thing i've been taught: in what looks like fiction always lies truth. It's just not easy to admit. It's easier to deny reality.

Especially when it hurts.
